Ready to Eat Badam Kheer / Almond Kheer / badam payasam is a delicious creamy kheer made with blanched almond paste, milk and saffron. It is a delicious treat made for festivals or special occasions all over India. Badam kheer although looks similar to badam milk, but the taste as well as the consistency is different. Badam kheer is creamier and thicker as compared to badam milk which is a light refreshing beverage drink.
‘Badam’ means almonds in Hindi and ‘Kheer’ is an Indian milk pudding. Consumption Instructions:
Gas Stove Methods
Gas Stove Method 1 :
Empty the contents of the pouch into a bowl, add 2-3 spoons of water and heat for 3-4 minutes. Empty contents of the bowl into a dish. Garnish with a few spoons of Ghee and then you are in food heaven.
Gas Stove Method 2 :
Dip the sealed pouch into boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Remove the pouch out of the boiling water. Cut open the pouch and empty its contents into a dish. Garnish with a few spoons of Ghee then you are in food heaven.
Microwave Method
Empty contents of the pouch into a microwave able bowl, add 2-3 spoons water and heat for 1 minute. Empty contents of the microwave able bowl into a serving dish. Garnish with a few spoons of Ghee and then you are in food heaven.
Note: Let it be Any Method of heating above the kheer has to be chilled /refrigerated and consumed after heating. It tastes better with cooling.
Badam Kheer can even be consumed right out of the pack. But heating by above methods and cooling makes it much tastier and flavourful.
